Here for sale is a fantastic quality fine rosewood stationery box. With makers label for Biggs Desk and Dressing Case Manufacturer, 57 Rathbone Place, Oxford Street. Thomas Biggs was recorded as being in Rathbone Place from 1820 to 1829. We believe this stunning box dates from this period or slightly later. It has super quality with heavy brass campaign handles and a original fitted red leather interior. Missing an internal insert tray to the base, but still a stunning piece. Perfect for display or storage of paper, letters or ephemera. Wonderful to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.

Condition

Please note the internal insert tray is missing. Wear to leather internal fitting. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.

Dimensions

28.5 cm width,  22.5 cm depth, 13 cm height
