A fantastic antique print. Titled 'Trogan Collaris', which are a pair of collared Trogan birds. This wonderful print is hand coloured and comes from the book 'Birds of Europe' by John Gould, dating from 1832 to 1837. Printed with 'drawn from nature and stone by J. & E. Gould' and 'Printed by C. Hullmandel'. This stunning print has a wonderful vibrant colour and dates from this period. The gilt frame is much later. A fabulous period plate, perfect to add soul and character to a modern interior.
Condition
Wear to surface of print in several areas. Foxing to paper in places. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
