A fantastic antique pair of framed prints. The original human biology plates have been salvaged from 'Johnston's Students' Atlas of Bones and Ligaments'. Dating from 1885 the book was very distressed. We have mounted each plate and its additional text into two original museum specimen frames. These frames would have been part of a large bank of drawers and have metal number to top and double sided glass. These original Victorian lithographic plates were developed to help students with medical studies. Artist were used to accurately record each area of the body. This pair of plates of the human ligaments of the pelvis, the sternum and thorax, are perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character. 
Condition
Foxing and wear to paper prints. A brass hanging plate will be included for wall mounting. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

We do use couriers and hand deliver delicate items such as mirrors where we can and is reflected in the delivery cost.
