A fantastic antique Bradbury and Company handcranked sewing machine. Founded in 1852, Bradbury and Co was the first European manufacturer of sewing machines. This is the letter S machine model number 1 or family model dating which is fiddle based and was manufactured between 1874 and 1879.
Complete with original carrying box with interesting clamp that holds the sewing machine and base inside the top. Appears to have been in use recently and seems to be in working condition. A stunning period sewing machine with original case, perfect to use and enjoy.
Condition
Some wear to the decoration (see photos), but otherwise seems in very good condition. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
