With paper label underneath, 'No. 828 Made by Jubbar Khan and Son. state wood carver and paper mache maker. 3rd Bridge Srinigar Kashmir'. Dating from around 1890 this is an exquisitely carved table with Anglo-Indian influnces. Consiting of stylised roses, leaves and flowers. The beautifully carved top is attached to a folding separate x-frame base. This stunning antique table would be a wonderful addition to any modern home to add personality and soul to an interior.
Condition
Very small area of missing detail please refer to photo. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
