A fantastic antique watercolour by Charles Edward Britton (1870 to 1949). With original gallery label to the back "annual spring exhibition 1905" and identifying the subject as Hay tor, Dartmoor. Charles Edward Britton was a renowned artist specialising in Devon scenes especially Dartmoor. This is a lovely small watercolour of a famous Dartmoor tor. It has its original gold mount and frame. The painting has a wonderful calm atmosphere. Perfect as a gift or to incorporate into a modern interior to add a burst of personality and soul.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
