A fantastic antique apothecary or medical cabinet by S Maw Son and Sons. George Maw started his firm in 1807 his son Solomon taking over the firm in 1834. This lovely cabinet has a metal plaque with S Maw Son and Sons Surgical Instrument Makers 7- 12 Aldersgate. This dates the cabinet between 1901 and 1918. The cabinet is beautifully constructed with heavy brass carrying handles and mahogany and pine.

The cabinet is fitted with test tube and bottles and an original 1891 medicine spoon stamped S Maw Son and Thompson and early measuring jug. A stunning original travel cabinet, perfect for any collector or to use and enjoy.

Some of the contents are later. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
