A fantastic antique case of mounted butterlies/ moths. Each one has a small label with date and place of collection. We have identified one to be a Tiger moth (appears to be a Cream spot tiger). Places include south Devon and Wiltshire. They date from the 1920s. This is an individuals collection and is in a wonderful condition. We can't quite make our the collector but looks to have the name 'W. Marr'. The display case is made from mahogany and was probably part of a larger specimen cabinet. The front lifts off to reveal the collection. A fabulous collection, perfect for any Lepidopterology collector. Or add soul and character to any modern interior.

Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.

42cm width, 5 cm depth, 31 cm height
