Here for sale is a fantastic antique toleware tin. This lovely tin is for Clarnico Lozenges & Gums and dates from the 1920s or 30s. It is stamped with the makers name 'Clarke, Nichols & Coombs Ltd, London, England'. They merged with Sharps Toffee of Maidstone and later Trebor of London. The Trebor company was acquired by Cadbury.
This is a fabulous early tin with a glass window and would have been used as a shop display as its quite large. The original price of the tin label for the shop keeper is on the base and states 'must be returned to Clanico'. This tin is perfect for a kitchen or bathroom shelf to add 'soul' to an interior.
Signs of tarnishing to tin. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
