A fantastic antique set of weighing scales. They are a fabulous vibrant red colour and make from cast iron embossed with the makers name. Charles William Bate Crossley started the business Crossley & Co. in 1897. Based in Blackburn they produced machine tools and scales. Crossley died in 1941 and the business ceased trading. This is a wonderul set of weighing scales which has a locking leaver to the front. With original white enamel weigh pan. The colour is just great and has a lovely timeworn patina which only adds to its charm. It comes with two ringed Avery weights. Perfect for display or to enjoy and use.

Areas of missing paint and tarnishing to metal. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
