Here for sale is a fantastic antique oil on canvas and is labelled Vladimir Lenin in pen on the back. Lenin (April 1870- January 1924 )was a Russian revolutionary and politician. He served as the head of government of Soviet Russia from 1917 to 1924 and of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1924. Under his administration, Russia, and later the Soviet Union, became a one-party Marxist–Leninist state governed by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Ideologically a Marxist, he developed a variant of it known as Leninism.
This stunning oil on canvas has a wonderful moody look and patina. Although it is hand written 'Vladimir Lenin' on the back, we are unsure as he doesn't have a beard. This fabulous piece of art would add soul and character to the most modern of interiors.
The oil on canvas is unframed and has damage to the surface with a small area missing. Around the edge, the canvas is worn especially at the bottom. The Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
