A fantastic antique coat scuttle. Made from cast iron with a Japanned lacqured finish to the outer shell. Made in France, these types of coal bins are known as 'helmet' coal scuttles. It has a wonderful cast detail to the top which is typical of the 19th Century. A fabulous addition to any fireside to use and enjoy.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
