A fantastic antique folding foot rest. Bears the ivorine label for Leveson & Sons, New Oxford Street and Knightsbridge, London. They were founded in the early 19th Century and specialised in well made furniture with mechanical elements including invalid and campaign furniture, reading tables and chairs. This leg or foot rest can be adjusted to the height required, it rocks so that the leg is fully elevated. Dating from the turn of the century during the Edwardian period. The foot rest is a really useful piece as it folds away when not in use. A rare find by a famous maker. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.
