A fantastic antique pair of candlesticks. Stamped by the maker, William Tonks and Sons. Tonks founded his firm in 1789 in Birmingham and moved to its large factory in Mosely Street in 1861. They won gold medals at the 1851 and 1862 Exhibitions in London and in 1855 at Paris. This stunning pair of candlesticks have a elegant reeded design to the collum and dragon and flower design to the freize. Dating from the 19th century and typical of the aesthetic movement design. The top section can be removed. A period piece perfect to incorporate into a home to add soul and character to any modern interior. 
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
