Here for sale is a fantastic set of Victorian Filing Drawers by the Amberg Company. Each drawers contains a record of when the files were removed with these dating back to the 1890's.

Cameron Amberg & Co. was established in 1868 and made its first Cabinet Letter Files in 1875. In 1881, 1,000 firms were using its cabinets. By 1893, the company name changed to Amberg Letter & File Co. Its letter filing cabinets had patent dates from 1878 to 1896.

The doors open to reveal a bank of 6 filing drawers. The front doors lock with the original key althoug the doors are a little stiff.

Some of the drawers still have the orginal letters.

One of the metal fronts to the drawer is missing. The cabinet has signs of its use and age with surface scratches and dents. This does not detract from a stunning and interesting item.

Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

We are a family company and love sourcing unsusal pieces which bring a burst of individual style to the most modern of interiors, creating interiors with soul!
