Here for sale is a fantastic original vintage haberdashery cabinet for Anchor cotton thread reels. "The Anchor brand can trace its history back to 1866 when the Clark family adopted the Anchor brand for their embroidery threads manufactured in Paisley, Scotland. Embroidery threads came into being circa 1812 when supplies of silk became unobtainable in the UK due to a blockade by Napoleon". Taken from the Anchor Crafts website.
Lovely original brass handles and glass panels to front and shallow sectioned drawers. The bottom drawer contains a colour chart for embroidery thread and embossed name to front.
This stunning cabinet is perfect for the storage and display of craft or small collections.
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
