A fabulous antique copper tray. Fully hallmarked to the back by the maker JS & Sons.Joseph Sankey was based in Bilston, Wolverhampton, part of the black country, near Birmingham. Sankey started the firm in 1890, his sons joined him in 1891. We believe the tray to date from the early part of the 19th century. It has a wonderful warm hue and patina to the copper and the most stunning hand engraved design. This is a large example and would look stunning styled on a table with candles, books and keepsakes. A perfect gift or would make a wonderful addition to any modern interior to use and enjoy.
Condition
Historical tarnishing to surface in places. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
Dimensions
