A fantastic antique copper tray. With hammered "snakeskin" pattern. Very much in the style of Sankey but unmarked. Joseph Sankey was based in Bilston, Wolverhampton, part of the black country, near Birmingham. Sankey started the firm in 1890, his sons joined him in 1891. This repousse copper tray is hand hammered from the reverse to give this distinct design. Wonderful warm hue to the copper. A perfect gift or would make a fabulous addition to any modern interior to use and enjoy.
Condition
Some distortions. Some tarnishing to the copper as we have only given it a light clean. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
