Here for sale is a fantastic antique brass coal scuttle or bucket. Marked by the maker, Henry Loveridge & Co. Henry Loveridge had a partnership with William Shoolbred and were based in Wolverhampton in 1869. The brass is has a wonderful hand beaten repousse design typical of the arts and crafts movement. There are two carry handles rivetted to the the main body. It has a fabulous patina and hue to the brass. It has only been lightly cleaned so it has all its original wear. The base is a rimed plinth. The base is Perfect as a planter or bucket for kindling or coal.

Spilt to inside bottom of scuttle. Marks and scratches to surface. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.

28 cm width, 50 cm depth, 49 cm height including handle
