A fantastic antique candle holder. Made from spelter and painted with a copper covered paint. Dating we believe from the first part of the 20th century, during the arts and crafts period. With embossed honey bee and dragonfly, on a stylised poppy. Where the candle cup is the centre of the poppy and takes a standard dinner candle. The metal has a lovely timeworn patina and looks to be hand cast. A exquisite piece, perfect to incoporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
Areas of missing paint to surface. Mishappen edge, which maybe part of its design. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
