A fabulous antique silver plate tray. Made from EPNS and has a decorative repoussé design to the edge. Made by the Atkin Brothers and stamped by each initial to the back. After the death of Henry Atkin in 1840, his brothers Harry Wright Atkin, Edward Thomas Atkin and Frank Shaw Atkin continued the business as Atkin Brothers. They became a limited company in 1925. This tray was made before this date so where made around the first half of the 20th Century. The tray has a lovely timework patina and is perfect to stage in any modern home to add soul and personality.
Condition
Surface scratches to plate and small dent to inner section of tray. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
