Here for sale is a rare antique poster by the renowned map and educational poster makers W & AK Johnston. The poster is for the gooseberry and currant sawfly. Great patina to paper and fully linen backed. Wooden hanging poles are original and so is the metal hanging loop to top. New ribbon on back where poster is attached to poles.
Date not known, but probably early 20th century. Commissioned by the Royal Agricultural Society, London.
Shows lots signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
