A fantastic antique reading lectern. Made from cast brass with a wonderful Christogram monogram to the center with the initials IHR. This is a Greek abbreviation for Jesus Christ. Underneath the brass rest are lovely decorative flowers. The wood ledge to the rest looks to be later. The lectern comes with a large brass tubing which may have been added. The lectern would have been mounted onto pulpit or large chair for use. A lovely heavy piece to use and enjoy.
Condition
One of the brass flowers underneath is missing. Please note this lectern does not have a stand. missing brass nuts. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
