A lovely set of antique books titled 'The Illustrated Dictonary of Gardening', by George Nicholson A.L.S. Dating from 1884 and published by L. Upcott Gill. This is a set of five volumes with one volume missing. The cover has a wonderful embossed cloth binding, with gilt gold lettering. A fabulous period set of books perfect as a gift for any gardener or to use and enjoy. We love this set as they would make a lovely decorative set to add soul and character to any modern interior.
Condition
Some loose pages. Bumped corners and spine. Foxing to some pages. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
