Here for sale is a fantastic antique bohemian ruby pot and lid. Made by the Egermann Company, dating back to the early 1800s, specializes in hand decorated glass with each piece posing a decorative and highly art oriented character. Egermann’s  invention in 1832 of a process called “red staining” in where the dark ruby red coloring on each piece’s surface is decorated by baroque patterns using cutting and engraving processes.

This stunning piece has a wonderful depth of colour. The etched scenes  of leaping deer and castle are just fabulous and would add soul to any interior space.

Small chip to base  and some nibbles round edge of base. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
