Here for sale is a great antique Elliott Brothers. Elliott Bros is a long established electrical instrument company and began making equipment for the railways and surveying in 1850. After the death of their father Frederick Henery Elliott and Charles Alfred Elliott establish the business as 'Elliott Bros'. They exhibited at the 1867 Paris exhibition and displayed equipment for mathematical and optical use. The company went on to be a part of the initial work and later production of early computers and cash processing instruments.
This ammeter is completely as found and untested. Cased in its original oak case with original recording paper too. We believe the meter to date from the early part of the 20th Century.
Stratches to case and is untested. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
