A fantastic antique oak reading table. It is designed to be used over a bed or chair and can be tilted and raised for the best position. The cast iron mechanism is used to rise and lower the table. Dating from the Edwardian period, the oak has a wonderful warm tone and patina. It has its original castors with helps when moving the table around. A flexible and versatile piece that could be incorporated into a modern interior in a number of ways.
Condition
The book rest bars used when the table is a lectern is missing. The table top leans towards slightly. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
