A fantastic antique Victorian large cupboard. Made from English oak and comes in three parts. The base plinth, the set of three cupboards and a top piece of oak. The cdoors to the left and right are carved with a elegant banding and to each corner is a circular motif. There is a corinthian column carved to each side. The centre doors have replacement wooden panels. A really solid turdy piece. With adjustable internal shelves. These types of cabinets were used in schools during the Victorian period for storage. They were also used in large grand country houses as house keeper cupboards. The wood has a wonderful warm tone and hue. A fabulous period piece, perfect in a boot room or for storage. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
Centre doors have replacment wood panels, may have originally been glass. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its caracter. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
