A fantastic antique adjustable reading table or lectern made by William Tonk and Sons of Birmingham.

William Tonk and Sons was a renowned Birmingham foundry most famous for their brass works. This is a rare example of cast iron works from the foundry and a beautiful reading table. Stamped with the makers marks on the cast iron base and even on the hinges. The lovely cast iron legs are combined with a beautiful English oak table top.

The table adjusts from a side table to a lectern and would have been used as reading table. Dating from around the turn of the century. A flexible and usedul period table made by a renowned maker. Perfect to add soul and character to any modern interior.

Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
