A fantastic antique slicer. Made from cast iron with the maker embossed to the side, Follows and Bate Ltd. The business was founded in 1868 by Frederick William Follows and based in Manchester. They were makers of all sorts of equiment such as lawn mowers, grinders, slicers and even garden seats. This marmalade slicer was a popular item and dates from the first part of the 20th Century. It comes complete with turned wood pusher. A fabulous original piece of kitchenalia. Perfect to use as a bookend on a kitchen shelf. Adding soul and character to any modern space.

Condition

Untested as a marmalade slicer, however the handle fully works back and forth. Historical woodworm holes to pusher, which has been treated. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
