A fantastic antique ccauldron. Made from hammered copper with a slightly sommed base and rolled edge. It is tin lined and much has worn away. The wrought iron handle is blacksmith made and attached to the main body with a brass bracket and copper rivets. The copper has a wonderful timeworn warm colour and hue. We believe it is French and would have been used over a open fire or stove for cooking. Dating from the late Victorian period. We think it would make a rather sunning hanging planter. Perfect to add soul and character to any modern space.
Condition
Tarnishing to copper in places. We have only given it a light clean. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
