A lovely set of antique scales. With its original marble top and inlaid ebonised wood and satinwood banding case. The brass weigh pans sit on cast iron supports which are painted with gilt. We can't find a makers name. To one pan and inside edge has part of the alphabet stamped. This fabulous set was probably used in a shop and later by a child who has added the stamps! Probably french and a super decorative piece. The marble has a wonderful grey vein running through it. Perfect to add soul and character to any modern interior.  
Condition
Crack to glass measure display to front. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
