A stunning set of six books titled 'The Fruit Grower's Guide', by John Wright F.R.H.S. Published by J.S. Virtue and dating from the late Victorian period around 1890. To the front of each edition is several stunning colour plates. The illustrations are by Miss May Rivers and are exqusite. In total there are 43 plates. With lovely embossed green cloth covers. This is a wonderful period set of books which are perfect for any gardener or collector. Or to read and enjoy.
Condition
Bumped corners and spine. Foxing to some pages. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
