Here for sale is a fantastic antique convex mirror. Often called a 'butlers' mirror, these were used in large Georgian and Victorian country homes by servants to observe a room especially at meal times. This example dates from the early part of the 20th century. The frame is made from gesso plaster and painted gilt. It has a wonderful timeworn patina and muted gold colour. The perfect addition to a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.

Condition

Marks to mirror and damage to gesso in places but is all part of its charm. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
