Here for sale is a fantastic pair of framed book plates. They are published by Blackie & Sons Ltd, who were based in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow. They have the names M. Sellier and C. E Keates printed in the right and left of the book plates. These antique plates are perfect for a collector of Ichthyology or Mammalogy. We have had the prints professionally mounted in a matching pair of gesso gilt frames with original old glass and gold gilt mount. A wonderful pair of framed Victorian book plates which would add character and soul to any modern interior.
Some losses to gesso gilt frame. There is historical foxing to glass. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
