A fantastic antique frame. Made from gesso plaster which is mounted on a wooden frame. The gesso is painted in a muted gilt paint which has a green base, which was typically used in the late Victorian period. With areas of missing gesso especially to the inner aperture. These frames make a real statement and look fabulous as part of a gallery wall. Adding soul and character to any modern space. 
Condition
Losses to gesso. Very much as found. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
