A fantastic antique side table. Date from the late 19th Century. Made from ebonised wood which was typical of the Aesthetic Movement period. It has the most exquisite hand painted flowers and butterflies. Artist drew deep inspiration from Japanese wood block prints, Renaissance paintings and decorative arts. It was a rejection of mass production of the Victorian industrial period. With three tripod hand carved legs. A stunning period piece which as a wonderful timeworn patina. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
