A fantastic antique basket. Made from silver plate which is mounted on brass. The base is hand beaten onto the the pierced mesh sides. Unmarked but clearly has age, dating from the turn of the century. The base metal brass has worn through to give a wonderful timeworn patina. Probably used as a bread basket but could be used for the storage of anything. A lovely period piece, perfect to add soul and character to any modern interior.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
