A fantastic pair of antique display cabinets. Made from mahogany with exquisite satinwood string inlay decoration. Each with glazed doors opening to reveal an interior with adjustable shelves, one with two shelves and one with three. One cabinet also has stunning inlaid detail to the top. They are both made by a master craftsmen as to the top of each door is maker, 1, 2, 3, and 4. They were probably made for a large country house for display or to store books. Rare to find a pair of cabinets providing lots of options to create a stunning display. A fabulous near pair of cabinets, perfect to add soul and character to any modern space.
Condition
One cabinet is missing the astragal strip that covers the gap between the doors. There is a small amount of decoration missing on the left of one cabinet. One cabient has the original working key. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
