A fantastic antique hat or wig stand. Dating from the first part of the 20th Century. It is made from a fruitwood and is hand tured. It has a carved domed mushroom to the top for protecting the item on display. Often used in shop windows of outfitters or milliners to display wigs or hats. The wood has a wonderful deep hue and tone. The turned base is a lovely size. A fabulous period piece perfect to display and store wigs or hats. Adding soul and character to any modern space.
Condition
Clip to the underneath of the top. Each section has been turned separtely and glued together. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
