A fantastic antique pair of leather boots and trees. With ivorine plaque for the maker, Maxwell of Dover Street, London. Henry Maxwell Founded the business in 1750, and became a famous spur maker, for use with horses for battles, sport and hunting. Maxwell exhibited at the Great Paris exhibition of 1900 and Earl's Court Military Exhibition in 1901. They are one of the oldest shoe and bookmakers in London, renowned for their British craftsmanship and quality.

The trees are made from beechwood which absorbs moisture and helps maintain the boots original shape. The leather black and tan boots have a wonderful timeworn patina. The soles are leather too. These riding boots have age and a really lovely decorate piece. Perfect to add soul and character to any modern interior.

Condition

Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.

Dimensions
