A fantastic antique printers tray. Originally from a printers typesetting cabinet holdling printers type. With makers stamp of Stephenson Blake of Sheffield. Stephenson Blake were maker of printing machinery and originally founded in 1819, in Sheffield. The company became Stephenson Blake and Co in 1879, when take over by Henry Stephenson and William Greaves Blake.
This stunning tray is of unusually large size with movable dividers. With ornate cast iron handle. Hanging plates have been added so that this can be used for display. Getting hard to find as printers are now digital. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a modern space.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
