A fantastic Arts and Crafts copper tray by Hugh Wallis. With the Hugh Wallis HW motif stamped on the front. Hugh Wallis (1871 to 1943) was a coppersmith renowned for his use of pewter inlays and patterned rims.

This wonderful large oversized tray really showcases Wallis' craft. It has a beautiful inlaid pewter decoration to the centre, pewter decoration to rim and hammered copper finish. We have only given it a light clean and has a fabulous timeworn patina. A rare size which would have been used in a grand manor house as a butlers serving tray. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add souland character to a space.

Condition

Signs of labels to back. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
