A fantastic Victorian framed book plate. Published by Blackie & Sons Ltd, who were based in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The names M. Sellier and J. K Colling are printed in the right and left of the book plates. James Kellaway Colling was an English Architect, watercolour artist and renowned book illustrator. He was a pioneer of early printing methods.

This antique plate is perfect for any collector of architecture and show examples from the 15th, 16th and 17th century. We have had the print professionally mounted in an antique gilt frame with original old glass. A wonderful framed Victorian book plate which would add character and soul to any modern interior.

Some losses to gilt frame. There is historical foxing to glass. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.

55 cm width, 2.5 cm depth, 45 cm height
