A fantastic antique trivet. Made from cast brass and stamped with the makers monogram to the base. James Cartland founded the business in 1823. It was a renowned foundry and based in Birmingham. This trivet dates from the end of the 19th Century and was used as a hearth rest. The ornate top is mounted on elegant legs. A really useful piece as a plant or display stand. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to any modern space.

Condition

Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
