A fantastic pair of antique candlesticks. Made from cast brass with the makers initials to the base. James Cartland and Sons was established on Constitution Hill in Birmingham, the firm was widely renowned for producing exceptionally high-quality architectural brassware, cabinet fittings, and ornamental household. The corinthian column is typical of Neo-classical, which was the height of fashion during the late Victorian period. A stunning pair of candlesticks, perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and charcter to a space.
Condition
Brass top is not straight and slightly misshapen in places, as a result of its use. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
