A fantastic antique ice bucket or wine cooler. Stamped to the base with the makers mark for, Joseph Rodgers of Sheffield. Rodgers was one of the most famous knife makers in the midlands. The iconic star and Maltese cross trademark was first registered by Rogers in 1764. This piece dates from the late Victorian period. With lovely paw feet and elegant branding to the top. We believe this wine cooler has been used as a planter. It has a wonderful timeworn patina, where large areas of silver plate have worn off. Perfect as a wine cooler or ice bucket , to use and enjoy everyday.
Condition
Tarnishing to inside. Large area of silver plate is missing on on side. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
