Here for sale is a fantastic 1920s - 1930s brass Jug. It is fully hallmarked with the maker JS & S. Joseph Sankey and sons was based in Bilston, Wolverhampton (in the black country, near Birmingham). Joseph Sankey started the firm in 1890, his sons joined him in 1891. We believe the jug to date from the early part of the 19th Century.

The distinctive reptile design has a lovely patina. Perfect to style with your favorite bloom.

Good antique condition for its age. The base of the jug is mishapen. It is handmade and shows signs of wear and tear as you would expect with pieces with age. Highly decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

15.5 cm diameter, 28 cm height
