Here for sale is a fantastic leather travel case full of a rich history of an interesting war hero and a famous war time Ocean liner.

C.W. Hill has his own Wikipedia page:

"Cedric Waters Hill (3 April 1891 – 5 March 1975) was an Australian officer in the Royal Flying Corps and later the Royal Air Force who, together with E. H. Jones, escaped from the Yozgad prisoner of war camp in Turkey during the First World War.[1] Their epic story was told in Jones' book The Road to En-dor"

The travel labels refer to HMS Orion which sailded from 1934 to 1963, being the first Orient Line to make a post war voyage to Australia in 1947, when C.W. Hill was by then a retired Group Captain (presumably returning for a visit to his native Australia).

The case is of super quality, with lovely patina to leather. Fully embossed with 'C W. Hill'. Complete with original travel labels and sticker.

Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

We are a family company and love sourcing unsusal pieces which bring a burst of individual style to the most modern of interiors, creating interiors with soul!
