A superb antique reading lectern. With Ivorine plaque bearing makers name for, Leveson & Sons, Oxford Street and Knightsbridge London. Made from walnut mounted on a brass upstand and cast iron base. Dating from the 19th Centuy, this is a rare and quality piece. The lectern can be adjusted by height and width. The black painted cast iron base has a lovely ornate cast design and is heavy so the stand can't be knocked over. It has its original book catches to the lectern ledge so perfect as a music or bed working stand. A fabulous period piece, perfect to use and enjoy everyday.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
